So you might be thinking, "Tarot? Is she for real??" Yes, I am, and no, it's not bullshit.
How tarot works: Each Tarot card correlates to different aspects of the human psyche or a life situation. By using the cards to inquire about a particular situation or set of circumstances, you're opening your mind to more possibilities and outcomes that you may not otherwise see if you're thinking in a linear fashion (or if, like me, you're having a panic attack about whatever it is and you're functioning with blinders on). A tarot reading takes off the blinders, allowing you to see in all directions, and presents you with possibilities that your conscious mind may have closed off to you or steered you away from out of fear, impracticality, or through negative self talk. It can provide encouragement, clarity and a sense of calm when navigating life's murky waters. Ultimately, it's your choice to do what you will with the information provided. Free will, amiright?
Please note, I do not use Tarot as a divination tool, and if you're wondering how that works, allow me to clarify: I'm not going to whip out a crystal ball and tell you your future. Besides, I don't even own a crystal ball - I'm clumsy and I would definitely break it.
Pre-session information and How to Prepare
Please come prepared with a specific question, set of questions, or general topic that you would like read. I can do general spreads, but my best work is done when tackling a specific topic - this is true for my acupuncture and functional medicine practices as well, so it's a just a general tenant of how I work.
I read intuitively. After shuffling the deck, I might cut it, or I may pull cards directly from the top or bottom. Throughout your reading, I may do all of these and more. I don't have a set format because it helps me tailor the reading to you specifically.
I like to take my time interpreting the cards, and sometimes I'll ask the Universe for guidance. This means I may close my eyes and be silent for a few seconds, or even minutes, while I make sure I'm getting the right message. I may go into a light hypnotic state while doing this (dropping down into alpha brain waves, for you science geeks). If you're getting a reading in person or over video conference you may notice my eyes darting around quickly under my eyelids. It's totally normal, and it's similar to what you would observe of someone in REM sleep (which is essentially what it is, only I'm not zonked out). As such, please don't call an exorcist, I'm perfectly fine.
Per the last bullet, I interact energetically with what I refer to as "Universe" or "Universal Energy." It aligns with my knowledge of quantum physics, chemistry, and personal life experiences. However, if you prefer to think of it as God/dess, the pantheon of your chosen spiritual path, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, I'm totally here for it and I love that journey for you.
I have all 3 clair abilities - clairaudience, clairvoyance, and clairsentience. This means I interpret things through auditory, visual, and sensory means. You may hear me describe my interpretation of the cards by using the phrases, "I'm seeing..." "I'm hearing..." or "I'm feeling..." I am actually seeing/hearing in my minds eye (and ear?), and do occasionally feel physical sensations in my body.
I do not offer mediumship services - I do have some mediumship abilities but that is not a part of my current service offerings, so if you're specifically hoping to connect with a crossed-over loved one such as Grandma or your second-cousin's-uncle's-dog, I'm not your first stop. If I get the impression that someone who has crossed on is with you and has information pertinent to your reading, I will bring it up, but I do not ask for guidance from spirits or entities and do not make connection with them unless it relates to the cards. Additionally, I don't differentiate between the energy of the living and those who have crossed over. If I inquire about say, a parent, as though they're living and they've in fact passed on, I am not intentionally being insensitive, it's simply that I interpret all beings as the same form of energy.
I'm an intuitive reader. This means that while I consider the general meaning of any card that comes up, I'm not simply going to adhere to what that card is "supposed to mean." I use the card as a spring board for what it means to your situation specifically. For example, the Two of Cups is often representative of a new relationship between two people, but if you're asking after a career spread, this may mean that you'll be in complete harmony with a new boss or you'll be meeting the perfect person with whom to launch your next entrepreneurial venture.
If something or someone comes up in a spread and you DO. NOT. want to talk about it, then we won't. I'm not going to push off-limit topics, and while I personally believe in gently exploring feelings of discomfort with curiosity and an open mind & heart, that's not for everyone. If I bring up a person or subject that for you is off limits, simply say the word and we'll move on. I will also never ask for more personal details of a situation than you're comfortable sharing, though I will need some in order to be able to do the spread. I'm a tarot reader, not a mind reader.
I do not, under any circumstances, consent to anyone or anything inhabiting my body during the process and as such I do not channel other beings or entities. I have a big personality and there isn't room in here for more than me. My voice timbre will not change and you will only ever be communicating with me.
